Every ’90s child’s dream is coming true–The Spice Girls are reuniting!
The band took to Twitter on Monday morning to make their big announcement, where they not only revealed that they would be reuniting, but that they would also be embarking on a U.K. tour in 2019.
Are you ready to “Spice Up Your Life?!” Well, there’s one major catch you need to know before you buy your tickets:
Fans were ecstatic to hear that the girls were getting back together, but we're disappointed to learn that Posh Spice Victoria Beckham wouldn't be joining Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice).
Beckham released a statement following the big announcement, showing fans that there is no bad blood between her and her former bandmates. The designer didn't specify why she wouldn't be participating, but she did wish the girls luck and reassured fans that they'll put on a good show without her.
"Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012! I won't be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb," she wrote on Instagram.
